Heidelberg Instruments’ MPO 100 combines 100nm range 3D lithography and 3D microprinting.

Heidelberg Instruments announced its two-photon polymerization MPO 100 printer, which combines 3D lithography with 100nm range resolution and 3D microprinting with structure heights of more than one centimeter. According to the company, the 3D printer is capable of writing speeds over 1000mm/s while producing parts with surface roughness of 10nm and structure sizes of less than 100nm. The MPO 100 works with a laser wavelength in the green spectral range and is optimized to use the hybrid polymers. In addition to algorithms to maximize structure quality, the printer’s synchronized scanning system offers the possibility of stitching-free patterning. In addition, the MPO 100 is equipped with a flowbox that guarantees temperature stability of up to 0.1°C and thus provides the necessary stability for large-scale exposures.
